Bristol City vs Swansea City
EFL Championship
Date: 20 August 2021, Friday
Kick-off at 19:45 UK/ 20:45 CET
Venue: Ashton Gate Stadium (Bristol)

Bristol City are looking to emulate victory in midweek when they host Swansea City for Saturday’s Premier League clash.

A strenuous effort saw Bristol City secure their first win of the season in Reading on Tuesday, thus ending their 12-match winless streak in the Championship, the longest run since the 2014/15 season.

There was a lot on the stroke of half-time, but the Robins ran 2-0 down in stoppage time to reduce it to 2-1 at half-time before Weimann put up a second of the night to extend his head to 3-1. There seems to be no return for visitors, but Liam Moore’s late goal looks like Bristol’s first win since March.

Visitors for Friday night began the campaign with a 1-1 draw here against Blackpool before losing 1-2 at Middlesbrough.

Swansea, on the other hand, are still winning the Championship this season after a humble 1-3 win over Stoke City. This is their second win of the year, as Blackburn beat them on Game 1 of the season. The win against Sheffield Wednesday (0-0) is still the only good thing this season.

The Swans were last team in the playoffs last season, eventually winning at Brentford. There has been a change of management at the club since, and 35-year-old Russell Martin is under pressure now.

Bristol City vs Swansea City head to head
Bristol City have had great success in major league games against Swansea City where they have won 5 of their last 9 duel with two draws and two losses.

In this game, the Robins lost just 1 of the last 9 as the Swans won 4 and drew each.

Their last meeting ended in a 3-1 draw at Swansea Stadium, ending a 14-game unbeaten run with 2.5 goals.

Also, it’s good to know that both teams scored one game in two games within the period mentioned above, even though this happened in home fights and away in the past.

Bristol City vs Swansea City Prediction
Much has changed since the team ended up at the end of the league table last season.

Despite the inconsistencies in different parts of the game this season, both teams showed good intentions in the final third and that is why I am looking forward to a full ball in the final at the end of this Friday.

Bristol City have seen two teams score in all three of their matches this season at Swansea with the exception of their signature struggles against Sheffield.

Team News

After Andy King was eliminated early in the second half of the playoffs, Pearson could bring in Han-Noah Massengo in central Bristol City.

While a quick turnaround could lead to further changes, Alex Scott and Cameron Pring will be hoping to retain their position when they close out Tuesday night.

Pearson has also suggested that Joe Williams and Callum O’Dowda could return to the delegation.

Martin will make a number of changes to his Swansea side, including the possibility of giving Ethan Laird his first appearance.

Piroe should show up after completing his goal earlier this week, with Jamie Paterson in line to play against his first club.
